Today, Carolina Livery has team of 11 managers, each of whom offers specialized attention to your job.

From your first contact with our reservations team to our final billing after your job, each step of our process puts you, the customer, at the center. We see ourselves as a hospitality and customer service company first, and a logistics and transportation company second. We have remained locally owned and operated since 1987, so if you are hosting an event in the Triangle, no one knows the area better. We have a diverse fleet that can meet your event needs with more flexibility than our competitors.

We are constantly striving to improve our operations, and our team meets regularly to discuss areas of improvement. Our full management team takes strategy retreats twice a year and our officers team meets quarterly with an aim toward improving customer experience.

Reservations Team

Our two vice presidents both head our operations team. Carlos Reina, now with Carolina Livery for more than 20 years, heads our safety program. Josh Smith who started more than 15 years ago as a part-time driver at Carolina Livery, now manages our driving team including everything from onboarding to scheduling of drivers. A team of field managers and senior drivers also assists them in their efforts to ensure our service in the field exceeds the expectations set by our reservations staff.

Our team of field managers serves a crucial function in our operation. With our customer experience taking place largely away from the office, we use this team of drivers strategically to ensure that our service standards are being met in the field. They also assist our officer team in driver training and compliance initiatives. You can spot our field managers and senior drivers because they wear black (rather than burgundy) ties.

Our reservations team handles the first part of our process, from offering your custom service quote to sending your contract and invoice. They also work with you to confirm all details are correct on our driver agendas so your event goes smoothly.

For the last five years, Rachel Raduns has led the reservations team which also includes Savanna Smith, Alyssa Smith, and Monica Nealous.

Our History

Mike McMorrow founded Carolina Livery in 1987, with support from his wife Carol. He founded the company with one car, one van, and a line of credit. Over the next three plus decades, the operation expanded to become the largest fleet of small and mid-size vehicles on the East Coast. The picture below shows Mike along with some of our earliest drivers, and has remained a favorite in our company.

Mike’s focus was on bringing top notch customer service to the transportation industry in North Carolina, and providing the best client experience in the industry.

After Mike passed in 2023, Carol McMorrow took over as President, with a strong focus on continuing to emphasize service above all else. This mission is at the core of everything we do, and from the moment you reach out to our reservations staff through the drivers’ delivery on the day of your event, we ensure that every detail is taken care of so that you can focus on the other needs of the day with piece of mind, knowing transportation is handled.
